Oscar 2025: Cillian Murphy Presents Best Actor to Adrien Brody

I’m so excited writing this because two of my favorite actors were involved in this year’s Oscars! Cillian Murphy, who won Best Actor last year for Oppenheimer, handed over the award to Adrien Brody this year for The Brutalist. This marks Adrien’s second Oscar, having previously won in 2003 for The Pianist, becoming the youngest actor to win at just 29!

Cillian Murphy

• Cillian’s one of those actors who always impresses, known for his roles in films like Inception, The Dark Knight Trilogy, and the series Peaky Blinders. He’s got such a unique way of capturing a character, whether he’s playing a villain or a hero.

Adrien Brody

• Adrien’s charisma is incredible, and he really knows how to capture the feeling of immigrants fighting to rise above challenges and make it through tough times. In The Brutalist, he played an architect dealing with his identity and legacy, and honestly, he nailed it. So much dedication and heart in that performance.
