Why You Should Watch “Oppenheimer”

Oppenheimer is such a brilliant film. Christopher Nolan really nails the complex story, blending science, moral dilemmas, and politics in such a captivating and visually stunning way. The non-linear structure, cinematography, and soundtrack make it stand out as something truly unique.

This film won seven Oscars on 2024 , including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor. It also won for Best Film Editing, Best Cinematography and Best Original Score.

I’ll admit, I had to give it my full attention because I really wanted to understand what was going on with the scientists at the time. One moment that stuck with me was the conversation between Oppenheimer and Einstein, where they discuss how science can be used as a tool for power and control, like with Hiroshima.

Cillian Murphy’s Outstanding Performance

Cillian Murphy’s performance is incredible. You can really feel his inner conflict—caught between the intellectual thrill of scientific discovery and the heavy burden of its impact on humanity.

Don’t Watch It in a Rush

If you haven’t seen it yet, you should definitely check it out before the awards. Just make sure you watch it without distractions (I had to break it into two sittings) to truly take it all in. It’s absolutely worth the experience!
